Seven peppers. Not one of them tastes the same.

Heat with flavour, not heat instead of it.

Cinnamon, nutmeg, mace, clove.

Cardamom, star anise, juniper.

Cumin, coriander, fennel, mustard, nigella, ajwain.

Slow-dried, whole leaf, still green.

Sumac, black lime, amchur, turmeric.

Six house formulas, ground to order.

Intensity 4/5 · Heat 2/5
Bright citrus and resinous pine arrive first, then warm wood and a heat that builds slowly rather than stinging.

Intensity 3/5
Paper-fine layered quills that crumble between the fingers, smelling of blossom and citrus rather than heat.

Intensity 4/5
Split a pod and it is eucalyptus, lime blossom and cool sweetness — one of the most beautiful smells in any kitchen.

Intensity 3/5
Deep crimson and sharply fruity — acidity you can sprinkle. It does what lemon does, without the liquid.
NewIntensity 4/5 · Heat 1/5
Open the jar and it smells like grapefruit peel. People genuinely do not believe it is a peppercorn until they try it.

Intensity 4/5 · Heat 2/5
Almost black, faintly damp, smelling of raisins and wood smoke. It tastes more like dried fruit than fire.

Intensity 5/5 · Heat 3/5
Oak smoke and cracked pepper over a savoury base. Built for anything that has seen fire.
ReserveIntensity 5/5
All-red stigmas in a small inner vessel inside a presentation carton. Honey, hay and dried flowers — a single pinch colours and perfumes a whole dish.
Our philosophy
Bought by harvest and lot, never by commodity grade.
Sealed small, dated, and ground the day it ships.
Fewer products, chosen properly, replaced when better exists.
Shop by aroma
Oak, ember, charred wood.
Peel, grapefruit, lime leaf.
Soil after rain, roots, cumin.
Rose, blossom, violet.
Clove, cassia, baked sugar.
Fennel, vanilla, liquorice.
Cedar, resin, bark.
Mint, eucalyptus, green herb.
Capsaicin, pepper bite, mustard.
Alliums, umami, toasted grain.

Featured origin · India
The home of extraordinary pepper.
Pepper vines climb shade trees in the Western Ghats and ripen slowly in monsoon humidity. Late picking and slow sun-drying are what give a Tellicherry-style grade its size, its citrus lift and its long resinous finish.
